Mentoring Juniors Project
Silvia Giordani, Senior Researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genova, ideated the “Mentoring Juniors Project” with the aim to give the high-school students a unique opportunity to experience what it is like to work in scientific research and to provide them a taste of possible future careers in Science.
In May 2011 she coordinated a visit to Trinity College Dublin for eight students of the project and organized two days of lectures, demonstrations and tours around the Nanotechnology Institute laboratories and Science Gallery.
The MJ students have been researching projects on cancer and energy and presented them at conferences together with Dr. Silvia Giordani.
